Scope of work

Clough completed the construction contract of the Ore Handling Plant (OHP) for the BHP South Flank Project.

The project involved the construction of a new infrastructure within the plant, Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) including the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation mechanisms and the construction of the interconnecting conveyors and transfer stations for the BHP South Flank project. In total on the OHP project 491 modules were installed equating to 14,900 t, 26,600 crane lifts were performed, 8,000 linear metres of pipe were installed, 221 km of cable were installed.

The South Flank project replaced production from the 80Mtpa (100 per cent basis) Yandi mine which had reached the end of its economic life.
