Bulleen Road’s major milestone!

Spark North East Link Tunnels D&C has completed all piling works and successfully installed 16 massive bridge beams to create the Yarra Link green bridge. 

Weighing more than 60 tonnes each and reaching up to 40 metres in length, their installation was no small feat.

The bridge will create two hectares of new parkland and reconnect the Koonung Creek Trail with Bulleen Park, enhancing community connectivity when North East Link opens in 2028.

 Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture, is delivering the tunnels as part of North East Link. The project will take up to 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reduce travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.
