Scope of work

Clough, in a joint venture with Lucas, completed the construction and fabrication contract for the Paraburdoo Compressor Station project, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. 

The project involved Earthworks Concrete works, structural steel fabrication and erection building construction, fabrication, and installation of process piping (including non-destructive testing) installation of plant and equipment, installation of electrical, instrumentation and control systems, design and construction conformed with AS2885.

The Clough Lucas Joint Venture also assisted in the commissioning of the Solar Saturn gas turbine and centrifugal compressor, gas cooler, two gas electric alternators, filter vessels, vent stack, process pipework, control building, workshop and living quarters. 

The completed compressor station has increased the capacity of the Goldfields Gas Transmission (GGT) pipeline from 96 terajoules per day to 105 terajoules per day.
