Clough, in a joint venture with Henry Walker Eltin Contracting Pty Ltd, completed the design and construction contract for Stage 1 of the Kwinana Freeway Bus Transitway.

The project involved the construction of two 6km dedicated bus lanes, a passenger transfer station, a bus-only bridge, three new footbridges spanning the freeway, and modifications to an existing footbridge and changes were made to both existing traffic lanes and two freeway off-ramps to accommodate the new lanes.

The project also involved widening the Canning Highway overpass to accommodate a dedicated bus lane and passenger platform.
 
The project was part of a broad program of improvements to public transport infrastructure in Perth.
