Scope of work

Clough completed the construction of a 280m long sheet pile retaining wall for the new No. 6 berth at Geraldton.

The project involved the supply and installation of interlocking steel sheet piles up to 14m in length.

During construction the sheet piles were pitched into temporary guide walers using Clough’s 50 tonne crawler crane and then driven to depth using air operated impact hammers.

Despite unexpected ground conditions and unseasonal weather, the project was successfully completed ahead of schedule to the client’s complete satisfaction.
