Scope of work

Clough in alliance with the Water Corporation and Jacobs, are delivering the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for the upgrade of the Woodman Point Sludge Treatment Facilities.

The scope of the project includes upgrading the facility's sludge treatment processing system. This will enable the recovery of biosolids for agricultural use. The solid material, known as biosolids, will be used as a soil conditioner. Another by-product of the sludge treatment process is biogas, which can be used as a source of energy.

The Woodman Point Water Recovery Facility has the capacity to treat up to 180 megalitres of used incoming water per day. This project is designed to treat 120 tonnes of dried solids per day. The increase in capacity will allow the facility to continue to recover 100% of the biosolids, making it a water efficient water treatment facility.
