Temporary Works Coordinator / Permit to Work Manager

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Temporary Works Coordinator/Permit to Work Manager to join the Woodman Point Team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, processes and systems are managed in accordance with project requirements.

Clough, as part of the Integrate Alliance, is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the upgrade of the Woodman Point Sludge Treatment Facilities, a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community, reducing waste and emissions.

Your focus will include:

Permit:

  • Driving the implementation, execution and monitoring of the Permit to Work system.

  • Coordinating information and qualification requirements for all related statutory permits.

  • Producing periodic reports relating to permits and inspections.

  • Providing training to personnel in the application of the permit to work system.

Temp Works:

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to understand temporary works requirements.

  • Assess project work scopes and define/classify temporary works.

  • Review and develop risk-based work method statements.

  • Coordinate review of temporary works and falsework design, ensuring specification is written with enough detail.

  • Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor temporary works implementation and compliance with safety standards.

  • Inspection and authorization of temporary works upon dismantle and removal, as well as installation and use.

  • Preparation and submission of WPA, as well as Project Planning guideline, work packs and SOWS.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Waste Management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in permit to work and/or temporary works management in the oil and gas or construction industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with teams at all levels.
