In 2022 we proudly partnered with Curtin University for their Girls Engineering Tomorrow Program, which is designed to encourage and inspire the next generation of women in STEM through tutoring support, and exposure to engineering activities, role models, and careers.

As part of our partnership, paired up Adriana, Senior Electrical Engineer, and Angel, Year 11 student, as part of the 10-week mentoring program. Adriana shared her insights and experiences with Angel to further spark her interest in the exciting world of engineering!

Since the establishment of the Clough Scholarship Program in 1972, we have awarded more than 300 scholarships to tertiary students across a wide range of engineering disciplines including civil, construction management, mechanical, mechatronic, electrical, process, environmental and ocean engineering, as well as health, safety and environment.

Each year we open our doors to students in years 11 and 12 to help inspire them to take on a career in STEM. The students get taken on a tour around our office, meet with our engineers and learn about the engineering discipline, our business, scholarships, and our Intern and Graduate Programs.

Students also get the opportunity to explore a virtual mine through our Virtual Reality technology.

We were proud principal sponsors of WISE Professional Network’s 2022 Future Engineers Program, which aims to inspire young women to pursue a career in STEM. 

As part of our sponsorship, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of high school students from the Program in our office, seeing the day-to-day life of an engineer, as well as, gaining insight into the industry from our interns, graduates, engineers, and leadership team.

In 2022, we attended the Stars Foundation Australia Futures Forum, at Girrawheen Senior High School.

The Forum offered students the opportunity to explore lots of different career options. Our team spoke to the students about career pathways across our industry to inspire the next generation of women to pursue a career in STEM and construction.

The Clough Foundation has been a proud partner of Stars Foundation since 2021, and we are proud of the positive impact our continued partnership is making, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women to help build their confidence, life skills and a positive future.

We were proud Gold Sponsors for the 2022 & 2023 It Takes a Spark Conference! This year, the conference attendance grew to over 500 students and teachers, connecting with industry leaders and educators.

The conference hosts various workshops, design challenges, hands-on activities, and mini master classes aimed at inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals and nurturing the problem-solvers of tomorrow.
