Are you ready to make your mark in the world of engineering? We're on the lookout for skilled Crane Operators to join our dynamic team.

Picture yourself on a 20:8-day shift roster, flying in and out from Perth to Karratha, and immersing yourself in the heart of this monumental project.

As a part of the Perdaman Project Ceres, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, contributing to the development of a state-of-the-art urea plant boasting a colossal capacity of 2.14 million tons per annum. From engineering prowess to construction excellence, the scope also includes EPC for all civils, urea handling and storage, and the setup of loading and unloading facilities, plus a water treatment plant and a robust power plant exceeding 100MW, and site buildings, there's no shortage of challenges and rewards awaiting you.

Who you are

  • Reading drawings, working orders and production schedules to understand job tasks.
  • Demonstrate the safe use of all tools and equipment associated with welding.
  • Operate manual or semi-automated welding equipment to conduct the following weld processes: Stick Welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding or SMAW) ; MIG Welding (Gas Metal Arc Welding or GMAW); Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW); TIG Welding (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding or GTAW)
  • Keep documentation and records accurate and up to date.
  • Preparation of items to be welded
  • Welding of risers, process piping spools and structural sections using qualified welding procedures.
  • Execute work in accordance with applicable standards and procedures and in adherence to work instructions and drawings as defined in work packs or supervisor instructions
  • Any other duties deemed within the employee's ability or experience

What you will bring to the team:

  • Construction White/Blue Card
  • Trades Certificate
  • Current Australian "C" Class Driver's Licence
  • Ability to pass a 6G weld test to AS/NZS 4041

Qualifications (Desirable):

  • Enter and Work in Confined Space
  • Work Safely at Heights
  • Gas Test Atmospheres
  • Fire Extinguisher Training
  • High Risk Work Licence - EWP
  • Current Australian "C" Class Driver's Licence
