Deliver a sustainable future with WA’s landmark urea project!

  

Clough, as part of a Joint Venture with Saipem, is delivering Project ‘CERES’ urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.


We are currently searching for a Contracts Administrator on a 19:9 rotation to join the Subcontracts Management team. Reporting to the Subcontract Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the administration of contracts once they have been awarded. You will ensure that all contractual terms are adhered to and assist in resolving any post-award issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

Contract Management:  

  • Lead and manage subcontracts lifecycle from initiation to closure
  • Draft, review and negotiate subcontracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and project teams, to ensure subcontract terms are clear, feasible, and compliant

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues within subcontracts and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the impact of contractual terms on the organization.

Vendor Management:

  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to establish and maintain strong working relationships
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any non-compliance or performance issues.

Negotiation

  • Lead contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to achieve favourable terms for the organization.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to finalize agreements.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
  • Generate reports on contract performance, compliance, and any relevant metrics

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in contract administration or a similar role, with a focus on post-award management.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and its application in a business setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and project management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex contractual issues and provide practical solutions.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field is preferred.
