We have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President Engineering to join the Engineering Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively provide Leadership and oversight of the Energy and Resources (E&R) Engineering team.
The role includes the ongoing refinement and implementation of the E&R strategy which is focused on:
Provision of high-quality process led design capability to support the company's internal projects from a design, technical compliance and governance perspective.
Provision of design services to external clients.
Support to internal stakeholders including bidding and operations.
Management of external design providers.

Your focus will include:
Team Management: Lead and mentor engineering teams across various disciplines. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance on engineering practices, standards, and technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to ensure competitive advantage
Resource Allocation: Manage engineering resources effectively, including staffing, budgeting, and equipment. Optimize resource utilization to enhance productivity
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in engineering projects and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. Ensure that engineering solutions align with client objectives
Budget Management: Oversee the E&R engineering budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and aligned with financial targets
What you will bring to the team:
15+ years in engineering roles, with significant experience in Energy and Resources construction projects
Proven experience managing large-scale projects (ranging from $50 million to $6 billion), including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation
Experience in senior management positions (e.g., Director of Engineering, Senior Project Manager) leading diverse teams and multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and technologies relevant to the sectors mentioned
Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements specific to the oil and gas sector, as well as construction projects
Understanding of the financial aspects of engineering projects, including profitability analysis, cost control, and resource management
