Vendor Management Specialist

Clough has an exciting opportunity for a Vendor Management Specialist to join our Bidding Team working across a range of exciting bids and projects within our Brisbane or Melbourne office!

The Vendor Management Specialist shall play a key role in the vendor pre-qualification, due -diligence and general onboarding on vendors for the procurement of goods and services in the delivery of the project. The resource will collaborate with various functions to evaluate the qualification of the vendors. Support the Project meeting the overall procurement objectives to deliver value, reduce risk and enhance quality of services provided to all stakeholder of the procurement process.

Your focus will include:

  • Perform market research to identify potential vendors for the identified procurement packages.
  • Managing the supplier relationships.
  • Managing internal stakeholders to ensure the performance, including KPI’s of vendor is at correct service and qualitative levels of suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Analysing vendor rating and in the event of deviations, preparing corrective plans and actions.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and accurate fulfilment of orders.
  • Managing supplier relations, in compliance with the Company's Code of Ethics, its Organization, Management and Control Model and its Anti-Corruption Model
  • Work towards Project goals and meets the timeframes specified in the Project schedule.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Specialist Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications in Procurement, Vendor Management or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience 7- in vendor management including development of vendor strategies and supplier relationship management
  • Procurement experience in the Australian civil construction industry in large scale infrastructure projects with sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with a proactive adaptable attitude and manage multiple priorities.
  • Sound knowledge of vendor management   
  • Familiar with company financial and accounting information, QHSE and IR procedure and policies.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
  • A strong commitment to a team-based environment
  • Experience in market research, identifying trends and reporting
  • Process oriented
  • Ability to travel interstate when required
