Clough has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Instrumentation and Control Engineer with a solid background in Engineering Design to join our Inhouse Engineering Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively be responsible for technical design deliverables working closely with stakeholders to ensure timely, cost effective and fit for purpose engineering and design output complying with company requirements.

Your focus will include:
Delivery of high-quality engineering design services that meet client expectations and Clough’s business objectives
Collaborating with technical specialists and Principal Engineers to ensure compliance and technical integrity
Coordinating across disciplines and engaging with clients, external engineers, and vendors to drive project success
Driving continuous improvement and upholding technical excellence in design and execution
Proactively managing design while maintaining clear and timely information flow
Preparing and reviewing engineering design documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, datasheets, lists, and calculations
What you will bring to the team:
A minimum of 10 years’ postgraduate engineering experience in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Chemicals, or Infrastructure.
Deep understanding of design, selection, installation, and commissioning of field instrumentation, valves, and hazardous area electrical equipment.
Strong technical background in PCS, SIS, Fire & Gas, and Functional Safety systems.
Practical experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, RTUs, and metering solutions.
Solid understanding of process control networks and related cybersecurity aspects.
In-depth knowledge of local and international codes and standards.
Hold tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (membership with Engineers Australia preferred).
Experience across project phases, including FEED, detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
