We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Contracts Manager to join our project Commercial Team delivering the Darwin Ship Lift Facility! This role will be based in our Brisbane Office, Monday to Friday with visits to site as required.

Clough in a joint venture with BMD have been awarded by the Northern Territory Government to deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction services for the development of the Darwin Ship Lift facility.

Your focus will include: 

• Overseeing a small claims team writing contractual letters and submitting variations
• Help develop claims strategies relating to head contract issues and major subcontractor claims
• Help with effective administration of all subcontracts to optimise earnings on project, particularly relating to contentious claims
• Provide commercial and contract claims advice and support to the project team
• Management and resolution of all claims and change orders under the Prime Contract and subcontractors / suppliers
• Contract negotiation as part of contract formation with subcontractors and vendors

What you will bring to the team: 

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, law, construction management and economics (CM&E) preferred.
• Min. 10 years of direct experience in a commercial or contracts role on large construction projects
• Extensive experience in managing subcontracts within lump sum projects or projects which require extensive management of performance and delivery risk
