Clough completed a fabrication and installation contract to extend the current facilities at the Cape Lambert iron ore wharf.
The project involved extending the existing wharf by 125 m to provide for a second shiploader and widen the 2.7 km approach jetty for the installation of a second ore conveyor system.
The project works involved the installation of 106 steel piles, fabrication, and installation of 250 tonnes of wharf steelwork, supply and installation of 900 tonnes of precast concrete deck panels, fabrication and installation of 12 new berthing / mooring dolphins, the demolition of seven existing berthing dolphins and the fabrication and installation of 130 conveyor trusses.
