Exciting progress on the North East Link project - works are now under way to widen Lower Plenty Road, which will make it easier for residents to access the North East Link tunnels on Greensborough Road while also improving local travel.

Once complete, these upgrades will enhance connectivity and safety, with the new Eel Bridge providing a safer walking and cycling bridge pedestrian crossing over Lower Plenty Road.

About the Project 

Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture, is delivering the North East Link tunnels on behalf of the Victorian Government. The project will enable a more sustainable future by taking 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reducing travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.
