Clough is proud to announce that its second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia for April 2022 – March 2024.

Since the launch of Clough’s first RAP in 2020, Clough has embedded more than 60 actions and initiatives to achieve its vison for reconciliation, which is to “improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples by providing employment, education, and business opportunities and to create a workplace that understands and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.”

This Innovate RAP focuses on building greater momentum through individual accountability to deliver positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Some of the commitments include: investing in opportunities to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and culture, creating meaningful employment and education opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, growing representation in our supply chain, ensuring policies and processes are free of bias, and striving to be a positive influence in the engineering and construction industry.

CEO and Managing Director Peter Bennett said: “I am incredibly proud of the commitment and achievements Clough’s people made with our first RAP and look forward to sharing even more achievements with our second RAP. We are committed to working side-by-side with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as we make positive changes across our offices and projects.”

John Galvin, Executive Vice President Australia and Asia Pacific commented: “Our second Innovate RAP provides us with a pathway to continue building on Clough’s reconciliation journey. We are deeply committed to seeing our vision come to life and delivering on what we have set out to achieve.”

The Reconciliation Action Plan is a strategic document that provides a framework for the commitment Clough has made to create meaningful opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It outlines and supports Clough’s vision and contribution to reconciliation both internally in the business, and in the communities in which it operates.

This framework builds and encourages Clough’s actions for achieving its vision for reconciliation, guided by the three pillars of the RAP: relationships, respect, opportunities, supported by a strong governance.
