Senior Tax Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Specialist to join the Tax Team in Melbourne! In this role, you will be responsible for the assistance with corporate tax obligations across the Webuild Group.

Your focus will include:

  • Preparation of corporate tax compliance across the business
  • Preparation of tax effect accounting and reporting requirements
  • Preparation of the group’s corporate Business Activity Statement and responding to GST queries from the business
  • Preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax Returns
  • Assist with transfer pricing compliance
  • Assist Tax Manager in tax related forecasts and business planning
  • Assist Tax Manager in other Australian corporate tax areas as required, including technical research
  • Assist in other compliance areas for projects and Webuild subsidiaries when required
  • Manage the ATO on various compliance administration matters

What you will bring to the team:

  • 5-8 years of tax experience in a similar role
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Ability to take ownership of work and demonstrate responsibility in the role
  • Good interpersonal and written skills
  • Experience with accounting ERP’s or similar systems preferable
  • Degree in Commerce or Business (Major in accounting preferably)
  • CA or CPA qualified
