Supporting NAIDOC in our community - we were honoured to attend Coodanup College’s NAIDOC Assembly, celebrating the rich histories, cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

The assembly was attended by students from Stars Foundation and Clontarf Foundation, who are two of our long-standing community partners. Aboriginal Elder, Nan Ivy, opened the assembly with a moving Welcome to Country before Jody Kershaw, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, presented Webuild-sponsored NAIDOC Awards to students who exemplified the NAIDOC spirit in their school community - voted by their teachers and Aboriginal Education Workers.

Violet, who is a Coodanup student and trainee at Webuild, was MC for the event, and performed an amazing dance alongside her peers in front of the over 800 high school students. Well done, Violet!

Thank you to all involved in the event. With our parent company, Webuild, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live and work and pay our respect to their Elders past and present.
