Milestone for North East Link - the Spark North East Link Tunnels D&C team successfully installed the upgraded 21‑metre Silk Street pedestrian bridge over Lower Plenty Road.

Crews worked around the clock to complete the installation safely and efficiently. Watch the bridge lowering here.

The new bridge not only provides a safer crossing for local schools and the community but has also been raised to allow larger trucks to travel underneath with ease. The North East Link is set to open to traffic in 2028. Stay tuned for more updates.
