This year, Clough Wood celebrates its 20th anniversary. As we look to the future, we remain focused on enhancing our service offerings and exploring new opportunities to support our people, communities and markets.
Clough and Wood's collaborative efforts continue to yield the delivery of high-quality asset services. In collaboration with our clients, we have extended our capabilities through training and developing local talent in emerging markets like Timor-Leste.
Recently, two members of Clough Wood’s Timor-Leste team visited our office in Perth to receive hands-on, one-on-one training from our highly skilled, local Clough Wood team.
Meet Carmenesa Fatima Mendonca, Training & Competency Administrator at Clough Wood!
“I am Carmenesa, and I live in Dili, the capital of Timor-Leste, where I work with Clough Wood. I am happily married and have been blessed with two beautiful boys.
“As a Training and Competency Administrator, my daily duties and responsibilities are to arrange training for Clough Wood employees onshore and offshore. In addition, I prepare the CTR and liaise with the commercial team and the Human Resources team. I maintain the training matrix, which involves keeping it up-to-date and preparing the expenses and travel summary for employees who go abroad for training.
“I started working with Clough in 2013, later moving to Clough Wood. Clough Wood is the perfect company to work for due to its commitment to developing the skills and capabilities of the Timorese people, which helps us reach our career goals.
“Working with Clough Wood has already achieved most of the goals I originally dreamed about for my career. When I first started at Clough Wood, I was a Data Analyst. However, with the available support systems and skill development opportunities that Clough Wood provided, I have moved to a new role. I can fulfil new goals as a Training and Competency Administrator.
“My recent visit to Clough’s Perth Office was exciting. I gained a lot of experience, including developing costing guidelines for expat training, Human Resources Dass board Oracle, and learning how to create purchase orders and coordinate with providers regarding expiring training.
“Clough Wood has supported the development of my overall skills, which has allowed a lot of career growth. Recently, giving me specific training to succeed in my current role helped with my transition and confidence in the part and has meant I have completed the tasks that the role demands, which has been rewarding.
“I have gained a lot from working with Clough Wood, but the experiences and many opportunities to work with people from various cultures have been the most rewarding part of my job.”
