The inspiring immersive experience Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius has officially closed its doors at THE LUME Melbourne, marking the end of an extraordinary journey through the life and works of one of history’s greatest innovators.

Presented by Webuild, a global engineering and construction leader, the interactive and immersive digital gallery experience including original pages from the genius' precious Codex Atlanticus notebook, has captivated visitors since its opening on March 16, 2024.

Curated to inspire innovation through art, the experience explored Leonardo da Vinci’s unparalleled contributions to both art and science. Visitors were enthralled by large-scale projections of da Vinci’s iconic masterpieces and detailed explorations of his engineering designs.

Webuild’s sponsorship of the experience reflects its commitment to fostering connections between art, science, and engineering.

Marco Assorati, Webuild Executive Director APAC, said: “We are proud to have partnered with THE LUME Melbourne to bring this extraordinary experience to life. Leonardo da Vinci’s visionary ideas continue to resonate with our industry, highlighting the powerful connection between creativity and innovation.”

As the exhibition concludes, its impact remains, inspiring future generations to explore the possibilities of innovation and creativity. THE LUME Melbourne and Webuild extend their gratitude to all who attended and supported this remarkable celebration of da Vinci’s work.

Webuild is proud to invest in both the cultural landscape and infrastructure of Victoria, which is a key strategic market for the Group. The latest instalment in the Group’s series of art events sees Webuild as the presenting partner of the Molto Bello: Icons of Modern Italian Design exhibition, taking place at the Heide Museum of Modern Art in Melbourne. Running now until 23 March 2025, this impressive exhibition celebrates some of the most significant achievements in 20th-century Italian design.

In Victoria, Webuild is currently delivering the North East Link project, which once complete, will be the state’s longest road tunnel. Additionally, Webuild was recently awarded the contract to design and build the Tunnels North section of Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East, a project that will transform public transport in Melbourne amid strong population growth in the coming years.

Australia is the Group’s largest market outside of Italy, supported by its local subsidiary, Clough. Together, Webuild and Clough are delivering some of the nation’s most significant projects, including Snowy 2.0 and the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport line in New South Wales, and the Perdaman’s Ceres Urea Plant and Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility upgrade in Western Australia.
