Clough in a joint venture with BMD, is proud to announce that we have been awarded by the Northern Territory Government to deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction services for the development of the Darwin Ship Lift facility.

We are seeking a Contracts Advisor to join the project Commercial team, based out of either Brisbane or Darwin.

Your focus will include:

  • Partner with Project team to provide contract administration services, provide contract advice and work with Commercial Manager to prepare draft notices, variations, extensions of time, etc.

  • Assist the Commercial Manager in day to day tasks, including administrative tasks.

  • Educate project team to understand and adhere to contractual obligations and prepare necessary registers, spreadsheets and trackers.

  • Sub-contractor performance management to contract deliverables where instructed.

  • Understand reporting requirements under Head Contract and work with Project team to compile these.

  • Provide input to cost control and forecasting of final cost at completion position.

  • Preparation of all claims and variations for the adjustment of compensation and time under the assigned Head Contract.

  • Assist in management and resolution of all claims with the Client in accordance with Contract Formation and Administration Operating Standards.

  • Review and certification of progress payment claims in accordance with the timeframes under the relevant Head Contract.

  • Prepare various management reports and monthly financial reports.

What you will bring to the team

  • Previous experience in a similar Contracts Advisor or Contracts Administrator position within the engineering, resources or construction industry (desirable).

  • Contract administration processing skills including change orders, payment, scheduling, ITT's, bid list formation and close out of contracts.

  • Proven ability to administer and prepare correspondence, position papers on contractual/commercial matters (analytical and drafting skills are vital).

  • Highly organised and energetic team member with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and apply time management and prioritisation skills to deliver best outcomes.
