Mechanical / Piping Package Engineer

Deliver a sustainable future with WA’s landmark urea project!  

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.


We are currently searching for a Package Engineer (Mechanical/Piping) to join our team on Project Ceres. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the management and design of mechanical systems and packages. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both mechanical engineering principles, as well as Australian standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of technically acceptable engineering design services for approved work to ensure the development of high levels of client satisfaction and Clough’s business needs.
  • Created detailed designs and specifications for mechanical/piping packages including enclosures, mounting systems and integration of components. Ensure said designs meet Australian performance, reliability and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to integrate mechanical packages with other system components.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for designs, including drawings, specifications and user manuals.
  • Manage the lifecycle of mechanical/piping design packages from concepts to execution. Monitor project progress, manage timelines and ensure deliverables are met within budget.
  • Implement and adhere to quality assurance procedures to ensure that mechanical packages meet the highest standards.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. A master’s degree also highly regarded.
  • Chartered Engineering status required.
  • 10+ years in Package engineering.
  • Experience in EPC or lump sum construction, particularly within oil & gas or construction highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Candidate must be prepared to travel internationally and locally ad-hoc to attend vendor works.
