Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

We are currently searching for HSE Advisors to join Project Ceres based in Karratha. Reporting to the HSE Manager you will ensure the company maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel, in accordance with Clough Management system expectations, operating standards, and HSSE management manual, statutory requirements, and client specifications. 

Your Focus will include:

  • Responsible for delivering a project free from incidents, injuries and environmental harm by complying with HSE Management System and being fully engaged with all activities

  • Provide support and active mentoring to the project team in all matters of Health, Safety and Environment on Project Ceres

  • Support HSE Manager in the development, implementation, monitoring and revision of the

  • HSE Management Systems as required

  • Ensure project team's compliance with all HSE related contractual and legal obligations

  • Ensure any accidents, injuries and incidents are appropriately recorded, and investigations are properly conducted

  • Ensure appropriate HSE Training programs are developed and delivered to all personnel

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of HSE audits for the project

  • Assist with the development of pre-qualification and tender packages as required

  • Assist with the preparation of the project's emergency response plans and procedures as required

  • Identify potential issues and provide solutions to any HSE related matters

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of the project performance reporting criteria

  • Lead and participate in risk management activities to support the project in pursuit of an incident and injury free outcome

  • Develop and deliver presentations as part of the HSE training and awareness programme

What you will bring to the team:

  • Territory Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety

  • 5 + years of HSE experience in the construction or mining industry

  • Knowledge of HSE legislation and industry best practices and their application to the project.

  • Experience as a HSE advisor on major projects

  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to develop relationships.

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work, balancing resources, priorities and timescales to achieve objectives.

  • Proficiency with the MS suite of software and prior experience utilising HSSE reporting systems
