Vendor Manager

Clough has an exciting opportunity for a Vendor Manager to join our Bidding Team working across a range of exciting bids and projects within our Brisbane office! In this role, you are responsible for the Vendor Registration, Qualification, Performance and Development activities.

Your focus will include:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate supplier capability, and maintain procurement databases, including supplier qualification

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to align on business requirements, scopes, and specifications to be incorporated into RFQ, RFP and issue NDAs, and issue RFQs promptly and professionally

  • Execute the Clough procurement processes and follow Clough bidding principles to deliver procurement outcomes to support infrastructure, Energy and Resource project bidding activities

  • Manage all external and internal stakeholder communication to ensure the procurement process is undertaken in an effective and compliant manner

  • Maintain and report procurement activity status weekly during the bidding phase, provide procurement transparency to senior stakeholders, and ensure procurement KPIs are met

  • Analyze and evaluate supplier RFQ submissions, prepare commercial comparison sheets, identify areas for improvement and deliver competitive commercial outcomes within the deadline  

What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience gained in Supply chain and Procurement Departments within Infrastructure, Energy, and Resource sectors

  • Excellent communication skills with multiple stakeholders, JV partners

  • Confidence in having technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to analyse prices by assessing basic cost drivers (raw Material, Manpower, Depreciation, etc..)

  • Enjoy working with a large amount of data, and information. Be able to apply your commercial acumen and analytical skills to draw insights from the data and provide commercial recommendations to your stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and yet being able to deliver outcomes within a pressed time frame

  • Have a curious mind, take initiative, enjoy collaborative work, and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced working environment

  • Team player, flexible in supporting various types of bids and projects

  • Interstate travel may be required for major project bids
