Parklife Metro JV is leading the delivery of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, a landmark transport initiative that will link St Marys to Bradfield and seamlessly connect with the new Western Sydney Airport.

This visionary project driven by a joint venture between Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild includes the construction of six new stations, 12 state-of-the-art metro trains, advanced rail systems, and a modern stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

The Opportunity:

Employed by Webuild, Parklife Metro is seeking building Site Engineers to join our team based at Orchard Hills, Luddenham & Badgerys Creek.

As a Site Engineer, your role is to plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery teams.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements 
  • Identify in advance project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions
  • Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes 
  • Prepare ITPs, material submittals and manage RFIs  
  • Assist in tracking project expenditures to help manage costs and avoid budget overruns  
  • Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.  
  • Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports,  lookahead programs, etc. as required.  
  • Monitor the progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary. 
  • Ensure project delivery is compliant with project  and qualitystandards, including all relevant documentation

  • Ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget, and contribute to the achievement of project targets  

     

     

Criteria:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • 2+ years working as an engineer on a construction project - preferrable experience in delivery stations, vertical or commercial structures
  •  Experience in delivering large-scale, complex building or infrastructure projects with top-tier contractors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
