Scope of work

Clough, in a alliance with Newcrest, completed the contract for the development and mining of the M10, M12 and M30 orebodie for the Telfer Underground Mines, located in Western Australia's north. 

The project involved the excavation and support of 5,500m of ore drives (12m2 face area), to drill, charge and blast 200,000m of 64mm diameter stope production holes for long hole sub-level stoping, the bogging of ore production and haulage to surface 2,100,000 tonnes and to stope backfill with mullock and hydraulically placed sandfill.

The project was  extended to include excavation works in the M30, M40, M50 and M60 orebodies consisting of cross cuts, ore drives and narrow vein long hole stoping to produce 300,000 tonnes per annum (tpa).
