The Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) project recently reached a major milestone with the topping out of the Pre-Dewatering and Final Dewatering Buildings.
This achievement marks the completion of the core structural works for these buildings, making way for piping and electrical installation to commence. Take a look at the Final Dewatering Building construction in the video below!
Pre-Dewatering Building in numbers:
▪️ 148 tonnes of structural steel and two 77-tonne silos installed
▪️ 64 suspended precast concrete panels installed, weighing 277 tonnes
▪️ 90m³ topping slab complete, delivered using an accelerated construction methodology
▪️ Five conveyors installed
Final Dewatering Building in numbers:
▪️ 205 tonnes of structural steel and three 52-tonne silos installed
▪️ 34 suspended precast concrete panels installed, weighing 297 tonnes – delivered two weeks ahead of schedule
▪️ 80m³ topping slab complete
This milestone brings us one step closer to delivering a facility that will support almost 900,000 people across Perth while setting a new benchmark for sustainable water infrastructure.
