Clough has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join the Supply Chain Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively support projects and corporate offices for existing and new work along with awarded projects in Managing Procurement activities including sourcing, RFQ, bid clarification and conforming commercial agreements in corporate and project execution phase.

Your focus will include:

  • Supporting the Supply Chain Manager and coordinating with corporate procurement, to define the strategy for procuring Material & Permanent Systems goods

  • Supporting and being in charge for the overall Sourcing Process including Defining the Supplier List in the Vendor List, preparing the request for proposal to send to suppliers, and managing commercial and contractual negotiation activities with the identified suppliers, to pursue the following targets: inexpensiveness, synergy, qualitative excellence and lead time optimization

  • Contributing to the Project and Procurement Commodity team objectives

  • Ensure compliance with Supply Chain and Company Policies

  • Analysing, comparing and assessing the offers received by suppliers, also guaranteeing that they are technically checked by requesting Corporate Departments/Operational Units. Also, preparing summary tables of the final offers and recommendations

  • Drawing up the terms and conditions of agreements/purchase orders, with the support of the Legal Department and Contract Department, while also coordinating with requesting Departments

What you will bring to the team:

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Exposure to EPC type lump sum and reimbursable projects

  • Documented experience of managing procurement of major equipment packages for Oil & Gas and/or Mining and infrastructure projects

  • Skilled at negotiating

  • Experience in expediting delivery of purchased equipment and associated Supplier documentation

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of materials management systems and processes and practical experience of maintaining purchasing/expediting data in materials management systems
