Clough in a joint venture with BMD, is proud to announce that we have been awarded by the Northern Territory Government to deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction services for the development of the Darwin Ship Lift facility.

We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join the project team. This role will have overall responsibility for the plant and heavy vehicle fleet being used on the project from a maintenance, utilisation, compliance, and regulatory perspective. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing guidance and mentoring to the project team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Maintenance background with extensive knowledge of the construction industry and demonstrated experience managing plant and equipment on a project site.

  • Ability to communicate with and engage with multiple diverse stakeholders to ensure best for business outcomes are achieved.

  • Strong commitment to safety.

  • Effective leadership skills.

  • Knowledge of Australian Codes and Standards.

  • Intermediate computer skills.

Your focus will include:

  • Consultation with project leads and other key stakeholders to ensure plant and equipment meet the required standards for the project.

  • Ensuring plant is onboarded correctly and is maintained to the standard and quality required for executing the work safely and efficiently.

  • Implementation of equipment maintenance systems to ensure reliable and productive operation of heavy equipment.

  • Plan, lead, organise and control maintenance resources to achieve time, quality, and productivity objectives in compliance with all Project plans.

  • Direct and manage labour, subcontractors, plant and equipment.

  • Establish and maintain clear line of communication with project support staff and client representatives.

  • Evaluate and ensure major suppliers/subcontractors/consultants are capable of meeting project requirements in all respects.

  • Obtain and review compliance and/or maintenance records of plant and equipment and ensure such records are appropriately filed.

  • Undertake inspection and verification activities as required by Project Instructions and other parts of the Project Plans as required.

  • Proactively manage the effectiveness of health safety and environmental measures on site.

  • Ensure periodic reports are accurate and submitted on time.

  • Ensure comprehensive project records are established and maintained.
