Clough Wood Joint Venture is pleased to announce it has been awarded a Contract Extension to the existing Bayu-Undan Maintenance Services Agreement by long-standing client, Santos.

This contract extends the current agreement to 31 December 2025.

Since 2004, Clough Wood has provided asset support, operations, and maintenance services to the Bayu-Undan offshore field development, which is located in the Timor Sea.

The support, operations and maintenance services include the implementation of engineering, work package preparation and planning, hazard assessments, offshore field services, shutdown services, and training and capability development.

Over the life of the project, the joint venture, in partnership with Caltech, has provided essential training for local Timorese in both craft and professionals disciplines onshore and offshore including fully certified technicians. Timorese personnel now account for 50 per cent of the project team.

Peter Bennett, Clough CEO, said: "We are incredibly proud of the successful and enduring relationship we have built with our partners at Wood, as well as with our client, Santos. Together we have maintained a one-team approach in the delivery of the Bayu-Undan Maintenance contract, and its longevity and extension are a testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication demonstrated by the entire team.”

Adam Cheesman, Senior Vice President for Australia West at Wood added: “We are delighted to have been awarded a contract extension to continue providing quality maintenance and asset support services. This is testament to the hard work and consistently high performance delivered by the team at Clough Wood and strengthens our ongoing 20-year partnership with Santos.”

The Bayu-Undan offshore facilities consist of a floating storage and offloading facility and three fixed platforms, a remote wellhead platform, a compression, utilities and quarters platform, and a drilling, production and processing platform. The latter two are located adjacent to each other and linked by an access bridge, forming the Central Production and Processing Complex.

This year, Clough Wood celebrates its 20th anniversary. As the team looks to the future, they remain focused on enhancing their service offerings and exploring new opportunities to support the energy sector's growth and transformation.
