Senior Cost Controller

Deliver a sustainable future with WA’s landmark urea project!  

Clough, as part of a Joint Venture with Saipem, is delivering Project ‘CERES’ urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.


We are seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join the Perdaman team, based out of Perth. You will be responsible for providing cost control technical expertise through timely monitoring, controlling, analysing and reporting of project cost & progress information with strong focus on trending, forecasting and management of change to contribute towards proactively influencing cost outcomes on the project.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and monitoring project baseline budgets and overall budget reporting, project forecasting, collecting and reporting project workhours actual and earned, quantities designed and installed, and assist in preparation of accruals.
  • Monitoring and analysing commitments and actuals against control account budgets, analysing and reporting progress achieved and measured against the plan, managing change control and performance trending across the project functions to support early notification to project management.
  • KPI reporting and project daily, weekly, and monthly internal and external reporting, and change impacts maintained through the risk and MOC registers.
  • Participating in project team meetings through sharing minor package highlights through risk, opportunities, progress or trends.

Key Requirements

  • Previous cost control experience (10 years+) within a project execution environment preferably across construction or EPC projects.
  • Advanced competencies in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Power BI highly regarded.
