Project Engineer (Civil)

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

We are currently searching for a Project Engineer (Civil) to join our Team on Project Ceres in Karratha (FIFO). Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating design, procurement and construction elements for civil and bulk-earthworks packages on the Project. The Project Engineer will also play a key role in collaborating with all levels of management across the project, as well as interfacing with Client and other key external stakeholder representatives.

Your focus will include: 

  • Ensuring performance and delivery of engineering services to support project outcomes against agreed project budgets and schedules.

  • Providing the project with ongoing engineering support while monitoring compliance with company, policies and design requirements.

  • Coordination of a variety of stakeholders including the Project Engineering team, Site Supervision, Subcontractors, Client and Vendors do deliver packages of work.

  • Preparing technical specifications for equipment and package procurement.

  • Participation in the completion of construction work on site, including involvement with Installation Test Records and close-out of punch list items.

  • Contribute to a positive safety culture. 

What you will bring to the team: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Civil / Structural Engineering.

  • Experience delivering with engineering and construction packages, particularly with a bulk-earthworks, civil and concrete background.

  • A solutions-driven attitude with a strong focus on achieving results in a safe and timely manner.

  • Knowledge of Project Management – Cost, Planning Reporting

  • Previous experience in a site-based role within Engineering/Construction environment.
