Community Clean-Up in Karratha - our team on Perdaman’s Project Ceres recently celebrated World Environment Day by volunteering for a local clean-up along Hearsons Cove Road and Hearsons Cove beach, areas close to the project footprint, as well as a local gathering area by Traditional Custodians and community members.
Before the 44-strong clean-up crew kicked-off their amazing efforts, the volunteers attended an educational session promoting sustainable practices they can utilise both at work and at home. At the end of the day, the waste collected, including used containers, spare tyres, broken fishing roads and general waste, totalled approximately 4 cubic meters of rubbish – an outstanding effort by the SCJV team, well done!
