Meet Kylie New, Moxy Operator for the iconic Snowy 2.0 Project, and talented recent addition to the construction team.
“Two years ago, I embarked on an exciting journey with Future Generation Joint Venture, initially working as part of the kitchen team on site for the Snowy 2.0 Project. In 2023, I transitioned into the construction side of the project, taking on the role of a Moxy Operator, and I’ve loved every moment since.
“As a Moxy Operator, my main responsibilities involve operating heavy machinery and transporting materials. I ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials, which is crucial to supporting the overall construction process.
“My choice to work in the engineering and construction industry stems from a long-standing fascination with construction. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch a project progress from the ground up.
“Looking ahead, I’m excited about the potential to upskill and advance within Webuild. The opportunities for growth and development in this field are huge, and I’m eager to take them on.
“One of the aspects I enjoy most about working on this project is the team environment. The camaraderie amongst colleagues is fantastic, and the stunning views at Tantangara are a definite perk too.
“For anyone considering joining this business or project, I can say that it’s a highly rewarding experience. Being part of such a significant project is something truly special.”
