Meet Charlea Washington, Compliance Director at Clough!

Charlea joined Clough at the end of 2023, hailing from North America. Charlea grew up in Houston, Texas, before moving to Connecticut and completing her Master of Business Administration at the University of New Haven, where she honed her business skills.

Charlea joined the Webuild Group in 2016 at the North American subsidiary, Lane Construction Corporation, to ensure the successful integration of the North American business.

Having only recently arrived in Australia to join our team, Charlea has already begun championing our Clough principles and the initiatives we have implemented.

"All of Clough's business initiatives are of great interest to me as they hold significant importance for organisational growth across our markets."

In addition to her role in the North America business, Charlea dedicated time to supporting the local community and making a positive impact, a value she shares in common with Clough.

"While in the US, I was an advisory board member of Building Pathways and Food for Kids. Building Pathways is a construction training program focusing on underserved communities. The program prepares the student for a thriving career in construction under the direction of the construction trades leadership.

“Food for Kids is a program that ensures daycare centres have a nutritious food program for children. This childcare food program plays a vital role in improving the quality of children receiving nutritious meals and making nutritious meals more accessible for many low-income families. I'm looking forward to assisting here at Clough with our community initiatives."

Rightly so, Charlea is excited about the future of Clough…

"What excites me most about Clough's future is I will be part of it! Clough has some of the world's best talent to assist with the safe, sustainable delivery of its current and future projects."

Charlea's background and experience makes her a valuable addition to the Clough team, we are delighted to welcome her and look forward to seeing her career in Australia flourish.
