We are pleased to share Clough’s second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is now completed.
The outcomes of our second Innovate RAP are now published and available in the Final Annual Report, which can be explored here.
We would like to congratulate and sincerely thank our entire team for your contributions to the business’ reconciliation journey and second Innovate RAP. We could not have achieved this without your efforts and commitment.
Since the launch of the business’ first RAP in 2020, 117 actions and initiatives have been embedded to achieve our reconciliation vision, to “improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples by providing employment, education, and business opportunities and to create a workplace that understands and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.”
Key Achievements
Throughout the period of our second Innovate RAP, we faced and overcame several challenges from restrictions, limited accessibility to the community and events, and supply chain disruptions during the pandemic, to operational challenges that led to our acquisition by the Webuild Group. However, throughout this time, we remained committed to achieving our reconciliation goals and continuing our path forward. Now, with Webuild, we have stronger capabilities to continue delivering positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples throughout our business, and the wider community.
Overall, we achieved 67 out of the 75 deliverables outlined in our plan, representing an 89% completion rate. Seven deliverables were partially achieved with only one not achieved.
Below are some of the highlights we have achieved during our second Innovate RAP!
-
We continued to build strong partnerships with organisations that support improved outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, including Clontarf Foundation, Stars Foundation, and Supply Nation.
-
We commissioned Indigenous artists to inspire and educate our workforce through art, including Chern’ee Sutton - Kalkadoon artist and creator of our second Innovate RAP artwork, Mel Spillman (Woods) - Noongar artist, Luke Penrith - Wiradjuri artist, and Leah Cummins - Mayi artist and creator of our third Innovate RAP artwork.
-
We hosted Meet the Buyer events in Karratha, Western Australia to meet local First Nations businesses and grow representation in our supply chain.
-
We engaged in numerous opportunities for our workforce to build greater understanding for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, including during significant events such as NAIDOC Week, National Reconciliation Week, Indigenous Literacy Day, Sorry Day, National Close the Gap Day, and International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
-
We awarded Karratha-based Murujuga Commercial Transport a $4.5M Bussing Services subcontract on Project Ceres.
-
We awarded Wilga Indigenous Corporation a $16M contract for the Darwin Ship Lift Project.
Once again, thank you to our entire team for your continued efforts in furthering our vision for reconciliation and fostering improved relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.
