Civil Quality Inspector

Clough is delivering the design and construction scope for the new Dampier Bulk Handling Facility (DBHF) for Dampier Port Authority, which will be stage one of the overall Dampier Cargo Wharf Projects.  

We require and experienced Civil Quality inspector for this project which is based in Karratha. 

This role will be FIFO on a roster of 20:8

We are looking for someone to join our team with the following experience:

Essential Experience:

Trade or Engineering Qualification (Civil)

Internal or Lead Auditor Qualification

5+ years minimum industry experience in a similar role within an engineering and construction environment QHSE management software and Platforms (e.g. GLAASS)

Advance computer skill (e.g Excel)

Ability to review and interpret drawings and technical requirements in the Specifications and relevant Australian Standards.

Non-Essential Experience:

NACE/CSWIP/ICCOR - Coating Inspector

IIW/WTIA/CSWIP - Welding Specialist / Welding Inspector or

AS1796 - Certificate 10 - Welding Supervisor

Daily duties will include but not limited to:

Maintain Project Quality Management System

Implement quality documents to ensure compliance with established codes, standards, client specifications and regulatory requirements

Responsible for the management and signing off on Inspection & Test Plans

Daily inspections in line with Project Specifications, coordinate offsite inspections in Perth and Karratha as required by project

Document (Compile and Upload in QA Platform)

Validate quality competencies of individuals assigned to construction tasks

Conduct pre-production / pre-inspection meetings with nominated suppliers and sub-contractors

Coordinate source inspection activities, ensure the inspection and testing of procured items and during construction is carried out, traceability maintained, and final deliverables are completed in a timely manner for compilation into PDB/MDR and final handover.

Perform release activities including closure of all quality action items, ITP’s, NCR's, CAR's, TQ's. Issue inspection and release notes, completion certificates.
